1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the CraftMatch platform located at craftmatch.be (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of the Platform

CraftMatch is an online platform connecting homeowners, property managers, and businesses ("Customers") with independent trade contractors, artisans, and professionals ("Professionals") across Belgium. CraftMatch acts solely as an intermediary technology platform. CraftMatch does not directly perform renovation, repair, or trade services, and does not employ the independent Professionals listed on the platform.

3. Merchant of Record & Payment Terms

Our order and billing process for token credits is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (Paddle Payments Ltd / Paddle.com Market Ltd). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all token purchases. Paddle provides payment customer service, invoicing, and handles applicable sales tax / VAT collection across jurisdictions.

• Customer Pricing: Posting job requests and receiving quotes is 100% free for Customers.
• Professional Pricing: Professionals purchase digital tokens to unlock customer contact details. CraftMatch charges 0% commission on the final job contract between Customer and Professional.
• Token Validity: Purchased tokens remain valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.

4. User Accounts and Verification

Users must provide accurate, complete, and updated information when creating an account. Professionals operating in Belgium must provide valid enterprise registration details (CBE / KBO number and VAT / BTW identification). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

5. Independent Contractor Relationship

Professionals on CraftMatch are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or joint venturers of CraftMatch. Customers and Professionals contract directly with each other for any actual work, pricing, guarantees, and timeline. CraftMatch is not a party to any contract executed between Customers and Professionals.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Post fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading job requests or professional credentials.
• Use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited marketing.
• Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent platform security measures.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Belgian and EU law, CraftMatch and its directors, employees, or partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the platform, or from the quality, safety, or legality of services rendered by independent Professionals.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Belgium. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Brussels, Belgium. In compliance with EU regulations, consumers may also access the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
